Dr. Serge Mbay

Dr. Serge Mbay Kabway is a doctor, socio-economic entrepreneur, and social transformation expert based in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He holds a Master’s degree in Social Transformation from the Protestant University in the Congo and has more than 24 years of experience in community development and 18 years in entrepreneurship.

He is the Co-Founder and Coordinator of the agricultural cooperative Bilanga Ya Betu (BYB), a network of more than 1,000 members engaged in the production, processing, and promotion of local agricultural value chains, with a strong focus on socio-economic inclusion and entrepreneurship for persons living with disabilities.

A laureate of the Tony Elumelu Foundation program (2019) and the Africa–France Summit (2020), Dr. Mbay also serves on the Board of Directors of Leadership Academia University and as Chairman of Bilanga Ya Betu -Trade and Commerce Association in the United States.

An international speaker and active contributor to diaspora initiatives, he works to mobilize diaspora skills and investments to support productive and sustainable development in Africa.
