Mr. Lionel Mundyo

Lionel Mundyo Kasongi is a visionary entrepreneur and real estate developer originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo. A proud Murega from South Kivu Province, he was born in Kolwezi and raised in Lubumbashi, experiences that shaped both his resilience and his passion for building.

Now based in Chicago, Lionel is the CEO and Founder of Mundyo Property Consulting LLC, a real estate development, remodeling, and repair company specializing in high-end luxury homes. Under his leadership, the company operates across multiple U.S. markets, including Chicago, Boston, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire.

Lionel’s journey into construction began at a young age in Congo, where frequent electricity shortages and widespread unfinished buildings sparked his determination to create solutions. Motivated by a desire to complete his father’s unfinished home and improve his community, he developed a deep interest in building, problem-solving, and innovation.

Today, Mundyo Property Consulting represents the realization of that early vision. The company is known for creating sophisticated living spaces that blend the natural elegance of African-inspired design with advanced modern technology. Their projects feature smart-home voice control systems, motion-sensor lighting, custom media walls, spa-style bathrooms, and integrated ceiling audio systems.

Beyond business success, Lionel is driven by a larger mission: to empower and train fellow Congolese in construction and real estate development.
